Bandung, December 10, 2025 – The School of Business and Management, Institut Teknologi Bandung (SBM ITB), in collaboration with PT Geo Dipa Energi (Persero), organized a series of Professional Knowledge Sharing Sessions aimed at strengthening the strategic role of the Board of Directors and Board of Commissioners in addressing governance and risk dynamics within the geothermal sector. The sessions served as a strategic forum to deepen executive-level perspectives on corporate governance, risk management, and leadership in the context of Indonesia’s energy transition.

The first session, “Governance, Risk & Executive Leadership,” held on December 10, 2025, explored Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) practices at the executive level, strategic risk perspectives, and supply chain vulnerabilities in geothermal project development. The discussion also reflected on the evolving leadership challenges faced by renewable energy enterprises, highlighting the importance of adaptive and inclusive executive leadership in ensuring organizational resilience and project sustainability.

This series was preceded by a session entitled “Strategic Leadership for Energy Transformation,” conducted on November 28, 2025. Through dialogue with senior professionals and academics, the session emphasized the importance of board-level agility, the strengthening of governance-driven leadership culture, and insights drawn from global energy leadership benchmarks as strategic references for corporate leaders navigating uncertainty and accelerating the energy transition.

Both sessions were moderated by the Executive Director of Institute for Energy, Economics & Finance (IEEF), Ir. Dzikri Firmansyah Hakam, S.T., Pg.Dip., M.Sc., Ph.D.. He underscored that strong governance and board-level leadership are fundamental to effective strategic decision-making in the energy sector. Amid global volatility and mounting transition pressures, he noted, the quality of governance and executive leadership acumen plays a decisive role in determining project success and long-term corporate resilience.

Through this collaboration, SBM ITB, PT Geo Dipa Energi (Persero), and IEEF reaffirm their shared commitment to building strategic leadership capacity, strengthening governance and risk management practices, and promoting executive decision-making aligned with sustainability principles. This initiative is expected to contribute to the advancement of Indonesia’s geothermal sector as a key pillar of the national energy transition agenda.
